PATHS Works
PATHS® is a comprehensive program backed by extensive research — including numerous randomized controlled trials with diverse student populations.
The Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) awarded PATHS® its SELect designation, which is given to programs that demonstrate “evidence of effectiveness at improving student outcomes at the highest level."
Notable major studies include:
American Institutes for Research (2013):
This two-year study of an urban school
district’s implementation of PATHS® found that students’ social-emotional outcomes improved — and
improvements were even stronger in classrooms with higher-quality implementation.

School Psychology Quarterly (2014):
This study examined the impact of PATHS® on academic achievement in a large urban school district. Results showed that students in PATHS® schools were more likely to achieve proficiency in reading, writing, and math at several grade levels.
